Arcadia University

The city’s main university, where Leila, Mae, and Kory study. Leila’s currently majoring in Mystical Arts with a focus on Healing, balancing lectures, late nights, and plenty of hot brown morning potion! (coffee).

Crescent Avenue

Arcadia’s go-to shopping strip for everything from bookstores to designer boutiques. It’s busy, bright, and Leila’s favourite spot to unwind, window shop, and grab a bite.

Hanson & Gretchen’s Haberdashery and Tea Shop

A charming little tea shop where Leila works weekends. Between the quiet regulars and the shelves of loose-leaf blends, it’s the perfect place for someone with a love of flavours and healing herbs

Ginger’s Bakery

A cozy, family-run spot known for its fresh pastries and warm service. Leila’s a regular—especially for their blueberry bagels, which she swears are the best in the city.

Du Vent’s Penthouse

Leila and Kory live here with their mother, Morscha, in one of the city’s tallest high-rises. It’s sleek, modern, and more polished than either of them care for, but it’s home—for now

Bonewood Manor

Grim’s family estate, tucked into the older part of the city where the streets are quieter and shadows stretch longer. The house has history—and not all of it good.

180 Smoke & Grill

Her top pick for burgers and fries after a long day.

Starlight Cinemas

An old-school theatre where she and Grim had their first proper date.

Astral Voyager Plaza

A popular hangout with something… off. People talk about strange energy there—but no one knows why.

MPD (Magical Protections Department)

Where Grim and Callaghan work. Half station, half research hub—it’s where the city’s supernatural cases get tracked, managed, and sometimes buried.

Eldermore

The vampire district. Sleek, upscale, and always a little too quiet. Most people avoid it after dark unless they’ve got a reason to be there

Avalon Fields

Where Kory trains with her coven for the Hunt. Private, open-air grounds hidden past the tree line.

The Dreamweaver’s Cave

A remote, hard-to-find cave said to be connected to one of the ancient creatures of 'The Folds'. People don’t go there without a reason—and never alone

Moonwood Forest

Where the werewolf clans live, including Lincoln James’ family. Peaceful by day, but things shift fast under a full moon

The Toadstool

A strange patch of land covered in giant mushrooms and glowing fungi. Not many visit—and those who do say it feels like time moves differently there.

The Faerie Wildes

A hidden stretch of land behind an ancient magical barrier. The fae royal family lives deep within. Only a few know the way in.

Arcadia’s Natural Reserve

Leila’s favourite escape when she needs quiet. She often gathers herbs here—just outside the Faerie Wildes—where the city fades into trees and stillness.

Leila

Leila Starquin is the fierce yet empathetic heroine, Leila is driven by a relentless search for truth and belonging. Her strength lies not only in her power but in her ability to see light in the darkest of places.

Mae

Mae Rivera is your fierce and loyal to a fault best friend. She will put bad guys in the ground and look good doing it, too. Wise and enigmatic, Mae is both confidante and guide. With a calm presence and deep understanding of the unseen, she anchors the group through turmoil and whispers of destiny.

Kory

Kory du Vent (Leila’s sister) is fierce, blunt, and impossible to ignore, Kory carries herself like she owns the room and dares anyone to prove her wrong. She is bold and unpredictable, bringing fire to every moment—whether through reckless courage or sharp wit. Loyal to a fault, she often hides her vulnerability behind bravado.

Grim

Grim is a quiet intensity wrapped in sharp suits and sharper shadows, he has the kind of presence that lingers long after he’s left the room. Mysterious and unsettling, Grim straddles the line between ally and danger. His shadowed past and sharp edges conceal a complexity that challenges trust and fear alike.

Callaghan

Gruff, crude, and unshakably solid, Callaghan is the kind of man who says exactly what he thinks—and usually loud enough for everyone to hear. He’ll throw a sword as fast as he can make a sarcastic comment and is always up for a drink or seven. When callaghan says he’ll be by your side he means ‘until death do us part’ in the most literal sense for he is loyal as he is brave and commanding, especially good looking in his police get up.
